THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word and is authoritative and reliable in all that it teaches. It is inspired by God and it is useful for teaching us how to live our lives in a way that honors God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
GOD
There is one God, the creator and sustainer of all things visible and invisible. God has disclosed himself eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is both intimate, desiring a loving and merciful relationship with his creation, and is ultimate; He is above creation and not dependent on creation. (Matt. 28:19; John 10:30-33, 15:26; Rom. 8:9; Col. 1:15, 2:9; Heb. 1:2-3)
JESUS
Jesus, the Son of God, became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the promised Savior to the lost. Jesus, fully God and fully human, is the master we follow and the model we emulate in our daily lives. As a result of Jesus’ death and resurrection, He became our mediator, restoring our relationship with God. (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1, 14; I Timothy 2:5, 3:16; Hebrews 4:15)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence that lives within every person that has made Jesus their leader and provides them with power, guidance, gifting, and encouragement to live out God's greatest commandment to love Him and others. (Acts 1:5, 8; Ephesians 3:16; John 16:5-15; 1 Corinthians 12:1-7)
HUMANITY
All people were created in the image of God to have a relationship with Him. All people have become separated from God due to their disobedience. God in his mercy sent his son Jesus into the world to offer salvation from sin and reconciliation to God. (Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:23; John 3:17)
SALVATION
All people are in need of God’s saving work in their life. It is a free gift from God provided by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and is received through faith. It is available to everyone who accepts Jesus as their Savior and Lord. That faith is expressed through repentance from sin and baptism by immersion. (Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 3:23, 10:9)
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
Everyone was created for a purpose and with a purpose, a way of life characterized by good works. Every follower of Jesus should integrate the example and teachings of Jesus into every area of their lives. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature by being transformed into the image of Christ. (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 2:10)
THE CHURCH
The Church is the body of Christ with Jesus as its head. The Church is a community of imperfect people called to love, serve, and share life with one another. It exists to take the good news of Jesus to all people in every nation, to serve the world, and to encourage and strengthen other believers. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2: 42-47; 1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 1:22-23)
