A 5-week series

Gifts

Made To Make A Difference

PLAN YOUR VISIT

God has given each of us something to contribute.

Discover the significance of God’s gifts throughout this series. Sundays at 10am, October 25 to November 22. In person and online.

Gifts start with Grace.

God gives each of us something to contribute, not so we can prove ourselves, but so we can help one another. We don’t serve to earn God’s love. We serve because we’ve already received it. As we use what God has given us for the good of others, we live out our purpose and grow more like Jesus ourselves.

Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or you’re still figuring out what you believe, you have a place in this conversation.

“Grace says, ‘I can’t earn what God gives me.’ Gifts say, ‘I don’t waste what God gives me.’”

- Pastor Matt Silver

Three things we’re practicing together

These aren’t one-time achievements. They’re practices we continue long after the series ends.

TRUST

Trust that God has given you the gifts.

TRY

Try using gifts you haven’t discovered yet.

TELL

Tell others about the gifts you see in them.

"A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other."

1 Corinthians 12:7 (NLT)

Next Steps

God is better experienced than explained.

These ideas are meant to be explored, discussed, and practiced. Here are some ways to engage with the series, connect with others, and put what you’re learning into practice.

Stay connected throughout the series. Receive two thoughtful texts each week: a thought to hold onto, something to try, or a question to consider. Reply “Stop” anytime.

Explore these ideas with others. Join a small group to discuss what you’re learning, hear other perspectives, and practice it together.

Explore the series at your own pace. Watch or listen to messages from the Gifts series and continue discovering how God has equipped each of us to contribute.

Try using your gifts. Explore opportunities to contribute at ECC and connect with a Team Member who can help you get started.

How do we become more like Jesus?

Becoming more like Jesus is a lifelong journey. At Experience, the five G’s help us describe how we participate in that process: Grace, Growth, Groups, Gifts, and Giving.

Grace is God’s free and undeserved gift that saves us, sustains us, and shapes us to become more like Jesus.

Growth is the lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus as we follow the Holy Spirit and practice the habits God uses to shape our lives.

Groups are communities where we belong and grow, practicing truth and grace with one another as we become more like Jesus together.

Gifts are the unique ways God equips us to live out our purpose, using what God has given us for the good of others while growing more like Jesus ourselves.

Giving is generously using the time and resources God has entrusted to us for God’s purposes and the good of others, allowing generosity to shape our hearts.
